Disney+ is set to unveil Star, its new general entertainment brand, inside the Disney+ app next month.

As well as four exclusive originals, Star will launch with over 75TV series, and more than 270 movies. They're adding more titles weekly.

Star originals streaming on Disney+ in Ireland and the UK via Star include crime thriller 'Big Sky' from David E. Kelley ('Big Little Lies', 'The Undoing'); 'Love, Simon' spin-off series 'Love, Victor'; and adult animated sitcom 'Solar Opposites', co-created by Justin Roiland ('Rick & Morty') and Mike McMahan (ex-writers assistant on 'Rick & Morty').

Drama series 'Helstrom' will also be available at launch. Other projects premiering in 2021 are 'Dopesick and The Dropout', new content from the Kardashian Jenners and several FX originals, including 'The Old Man'.

Fan-favourite TV series like 'Greys Anatomy', '24', 'Buffy The Vampire Slayer', 'The X-Files', 'Lost' and 'Family Guy' will also be available via Star.

More shows on the service will include 'Atlanta' from Donald Grover, 'black-ish', and 'Scandal' from Shonda Rhime.

Movie titles available at launch include 'The Favourite', 'Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri' and 'The Grand Budapest Hotel'; along with classics such as 'Pretty Woman', 'Die Hard 2', 'The Devil Wears Prada', and 'Moulin Rouge'.

New parental controls will be available on Star from its launch on 23 February. Parents can set limits on access to content for specific profiles based on content age ratings, and add a PIN to lock profiles with access to mature content.

Star on Disney+ will be available in Ireland as well as the UK, France, Germany Italy, Spain, Austria, Switzerland, Portugal, Belgium, Luxembourg, The Netherlands, Norway, Sweden, Denmark, Finland and Iceland plus Australia, New Zealand, and Canada beginning 23 February.
